BIO 165 Introduction to Quantitative Analysis

Data analysis is a critical component of science. The goal of this course is to enhance students' critical and quantitative thinking skills through applications of computer tools and data analysis. This course is designed for students to acquire logical and computational thinking and problem-solving skills: to learn how to communicate complex ideas simply and to decompose problems logically. Students will build basic skills in using computational resources to find, assemble and evaluation information, to gain basics of data analysis using spreadsheets and computer programming, and to become familiar with freely available data analysis tools. Fee: $35.00.
