PSY 328 Forensic Psychology
Students will learn how psychology as a science and a practice applies to questions and issues relating to law and the legal system. Specifically, the course will focus on witness testimony and the social psychology of the courtroom. Topics may include lie detection, forensic identification, criminal profiling, eyewitness identification and testimony, competency to stand trial, jury selection, insanity defense, corrections, sentencing, and imprisonment, predicting violent behavior, and the death penalty.
