SOC 241 Religions of the World in Sociological Perspective
From Voodoo to Wicca, from the Buddha to the Christ, this course will explore contemporary religious faiths and practices of living communities in the United States and the world. Examine sociological questions and social patterns that influence our society, and discover practical tools to increase success in working with future clients, customers, patients, or students from diverse religious backgrounds. The course is designed to build sociological skills to enhance the professional encounters in the multi-religious, ever-changing world of diverse careers, whether we engage in business, criminal justice, education, healthcare, psychology, or athletics.
