ED 306 Diagnostic Teaching of Content

This course is designed to focus on current trends, strategies, and materials required for teaching math, science, and social studies. Math content will focus on the current state standards in the instruction of mathematics. Social Studies standards focus on the importance of establishing a foundation in how the world works, geography, and state and national history. Science will address the state standards of physical science, life science, earth and space sciences, and engineering, technology, and applications of science. The goal is for the students to learn how to align the curriculum standards in lesson planning, instructional formation, implementation, and assessment of these integrated content areas. FIELD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Successful completion of GEC Math requirement, MATH 207, GEC Science requirements, GEC History requirements, and admission to the Educator Preparation Program (STEPP I).
