AT 6020 Clinical Experience III
This course includes a lab and clinical placement. Emphasis is placed on practicing and assessing clinical athletic training skills, with a focus on: pre-participation exams, upper extremity injury prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment techniques, vitals, environmental concerns, protective devices, mental health, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and general medical issues in the physically active and at-risk populations. This course allows the athletic training student the opportunity to apply their clinical athletic training skills with patients while under the supervision of a preceptor. This course is only available to admitted athletic training candidates. This course will expire after teach-out based on new 2022-2023 curriculum change, last expected offering Fall 2022. Fee: $75.00.
