NUR 409 Nursing in Women's Health and Newborn Care
Nursing in Women’s Health and Newborn Care examines a range of health issues unique to women from their childbearing years through menopause. Topics include conception, fetal development, pregnancy, labor and birth, postpartum, the newborn, and issues specific to women’s health. Health assessment, health maintenance, health promotion as well as nursing management of patients will be discussed. The student will have clinical experiences in the labor and delivery area, the postpartum unit, and with the newborn. Three classroom hours and two clinical credit hours per week (90 clinical and lab hours/semester). Fees: $125.00 laboratory fee.
