SOC 210 Cultural Anthropology

This course is a comparative examination of the cultural organization of human behavior in societies from around the world. The student will be introduced to key concepts, terminology, principles, and processes of cultural anthropology. Topics include culture, ethnicity, race, language, subsistence, economics, kinship and descent, marriage and family, political organization, social control, gender, and religion. The importance of intercultural understanding will be stressed.
