HCA 422 Health Information Systems

A study of health information systems supporting the management and operation of heal care organizations, including the clinical and administrative applications used in the delivery of health services. Topics include applications of information systems in health care; processes to capture data and evaluate technology assets; methods to make informed business decisions related to technology; emerging uses of data and technology; legal and ethical considerations in the use and management of electronic data; and the role of the health information management department and professional.
