CRJ 499 Internship in Criminal Justice

This course is a service/learning experience designed to give a student practical experience with a criminal justice agency, including private sector organizations that have loss prevention and security departments. Credit hours are determined by the number of hours worked on-site, in 50 hour increments for each credit hour. Frequent contact between the University instructor and the agency is required. Students will keep a log or journal and will write a research paper relating to the experience.

Prerequisite

Consent of Criminal Justice practicum supervisor, School Dean, and director of career services is required.
