PSY 499 Internship in Psychology

A service/learning experience for psychology majors to volunteer in various community agencies and institutions. Settings may vary from both public and private agencies that serve clients to situations that increase research skills. A minimum of 150 hours in the practice setting is required. Students will write a research paper relating to the practicum experience, with the topic approved by the faculty sponsor. Grades are given on a pass/fail basis. Students must be juniors or seniors in the psychology major, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, and are in good standing with the University. A willing faculty sponsor and cooperation with the university's director of student internships are also required.
