Admissions Process for Freshmen
Thank you for your interest in Cumberland University! The following steps will guide you through the application process.
- Fill out the undergraduate application and return it to the Admissions Office, or submit your application online at www.cumberland.edu.
- Pay the $25 application fee. You may choose one of three options:

- Complete your personal statement. You may send it to admissions@cumberland.edu, your admissions representative's email, or by mail to the address above.
- Submit your official high school transcript and official ACT/SAT score(s) to the Admissions Office. If you have completed any college coursework please submit official transcripts from the university to the Admissions Office.
- Contact the Admissions Office or your admissions representative to schedule a campus visit.
- Visit the Student Financial Services Office for specific information regarding institutional scholarships. Information concerning scholarships can be found in the current University catalog, or at www.cumberland.edu. If applying for work-study or endowed scholarships submit the application which is available on our website, or in the Student Financial Services Office.
- Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov by January 31st of your senior year. Be sure to add Cumberland University's school code (003485) to your FAFSA.
- Once you have graduated send your final official transcript to the Admissions Office.
- All students are required to submit proof of immunization records.
