MU 130 Music Listening and Literature

A study in music listening with emphasis on the elements of music and the manipulation of those elements by composers across the style periods of Western art music. Requires ability to read music notation for score study and composer recognition in addition to listening identification. Laboratory experience is required for this class. This course will also satisfy requirement of MU 129 of the GEC.
