2016 Undergraduate Catalog

CST 310 Mathematical Methods in Computational Science

This course focuses on numerical methods in computing. Topics include numerical solutions of linear and nonlinear equations, polynomial interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, numerical solutions of systems of linear equations, initial and boundary value problems, spline functions and the method of least squares. A brief introductions into numerical solutions of ystems of ordinary differential equations will be presented.
