HIS 265 Introduction to Digital History

This course explores the place of history within the field of digital humanities, which focuses on the interconnection between the traditional study of humanities and twenty first century technology. Students will learn the philosophical basis of, and debates about, digital history and will be able to critically evaluate existing digital history projects. Students will also be exposed to basic technology, which they will use to contribute to ongoing digital history projects.
