HIS 415 Emergence of Modern America

This course is a detailed examination of United States history during the period between Reconstruction and World War II. Special emphasis is placed upon the shift from an agrarian to an industrialized society, the transformation of race relations after the Civil War, sociocultural changes in the United States, and the United States' interaction with Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
