HCA 449 Health Care Financial Management
A managerial study of the financial management of health care organizations. Course topics include key financial functions and responsibilities; revenues and revenue cycle management; price and cost determination; health insurance and managed care; organizational structure and tax status; internal controls supporting the legal and regulatory environment; financial planning, budgeting and control; consolidations, mergers and acquisitions; working capital and cash management; and capital formation. The course includes a review of basic accounting and financial statements for health care organizations.
