ENG 098 Writing

This course is designed to prepare students for ENG 101, English Composition I. Students will be placed into this class who are deemed not to be ready for ENG 101 - that is, students who make a 15 or 16 on the English section of the ACT. (Students with a 14 or below will be placed in ENG 095, Grammar; upon passing that class, students will take this class.) The class is designed to teach basic writing skills. Emphasis will be on paragraphing, sentence structure, and punctuation with a single longer essay at the end of the class.
