Charles and Elaine Bell Faculty Development and Student Enhancement Grant

Grant applications may be submitted for Fall and Spring projects and activities. Below is the list of priorities that will be used to review grant applications. Grants will be awarded to proposals that meet one or more of the ranked priorities. Awards will be considered for proposals that meet the guidelines below. Awarded proposals will include activities that will enhance the visibility of Cumberland University at state, regional, and national activities.

  1. The project will enhance faculty and/or student scholarship in the form of presenting scholarly work for regional or national audiences.
  2. The project will enhance student scholarship by allowing students to engage in experiential learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom.
  3. The project will enhance student scholarship by bringing speakers to campus to interact with students on a variety of academic topics.
  4. The project will enhance/strengthen instructional delivery for on-campus academic programming.
  5. The project will provide an opportunity for faculty to develop/attend an activity that will enhance classroom performance or the person's administrative position.
