CW 257 Writing Creative Nonfiction
This course offers an in-depth introduction to contemporary creative nonfiction through reading, writing, whole-class workshop, research, and discussions with a focus on memoir, essay, and experimental forms. Students will produce a substantial collection of creative nonfiction and academic work at the introductory level submitted via portfolio at the end of the semester. The course stresses elements of literary citizenship and storytelling craft.
