MAT 5180 Education: The Profession & The Professional

A study of Education as a profession from its beginnings in America to the present. This course will also focus on the professional educator in today's educational workplace.

This course requires field experiences in a P-12 classroom during school hours. Pursuant to Tennessee law, a Criminal History Record Investigation (background check) must be on file in the University Licensure Office before field experiences can be authorized.
