AT 5510 Clinical Experience I
This course includes a lab and clinical placement. Emphasis is placed on practicing and assessing clinical athletic training foundational skill with a focus on prevention techniques, pre-participation screening, environmental and common illness concerns, protective devices and taping procedures, general principles of health maintenance and personal hygiene, anatomy, nutrition, and acute evaluation and care of pathology in active populations. This course allows the athletic training student the opportunity to apply their clinical athletic training skills with patients while under the supervision of a preceptor. This course is only available to admitted athletic training candidates. Fee: $75.00.
