AT 5530 Immersion Clinical Experience
This course includes a lab and clinical placement. Emphasis is placed on a student's autonomy to practice athletic training and the assessment of clinical athletic training skills with a focus on psychomotor competencies related to risk management and injury prevention, management and referral of common injuries and illnesses, protective equipment, pre-participation examinations, resume and cover letter writing skills. Students will complete a minimum of a 4-week clinical experience during the summer semester. This course allows the athletic training student the opportunity to apply their clinical athletic training skills with patients while under the supervision of a preceptor. This course is only available to admitted athletic training candidates. Fee: $75.00.
