BIO 304 Aquatic Biology
The course lecture time will focus on the importance of aquatic systems, properties of water, hydrology and physiology of bodies of water (groundwater, wetlands, lakes and reservoirs, and flowing water), aquatic organisms, nutrient cycling and use, organismal and community interactions, and aquaculture. Laboratory time will emphasize experiences that reinforce lecture content, including visitation to different bodies of water, specimen collection procedures, and water analysis. Strong importance is placed on the laboratory portion of this course. Fee: $75.00.
