HON 170 Honors: Introduction to Microcomputer Applications
This course provides a basic understanding of computer applications using Microsoft Office. Word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation package will be covered. Hands-on experience with personal computers using these applications will be given. Topics including the Internet and e-mail will be reviewed. The course addresses the same learning objectives at CIS 170, Introduction to Microcomputer Applications; however, this Honors Program only section of the course allows the course faculty member and students to engage with course material in a deeper and more enriched manner and, in doing so, meets the learning outcomes for the Honors Program. Fee: $75.00. Students may not take the CIS exam to gain credit in this course.
