PSY 101 Introduction to Psychological Science
This is an introductory skill building class, required of all students who are psychology majors to best prepare them to excel in the subsequent core and upper-level psychology courses in this program. The course will focus on science-based skill-building as set forth by the standards of the American Psychological Association including (1) psychological research, scientific inquiry and critical thinking, (2) ethical and social responsibility (3) verbal and written communication skills, and (4) professional development. This course is required for all new and transferring psychology majors with less than 15 psychology (PSY) credit hours.
