NUR 418 Pharmacotherapeutics for the BSN
This course is designed for the Associate Degree Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The course provides a review of previous learning from ADN phamracology including but not limited to the basic principles of pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics. Advanced principles of pharamacology focusing on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug interactions, client safety and education are presented. Nursing implications related to drug effects are examined. This course provides the student with advanced knowledge to expand critical thinking skills in assessing client responses to drugs.
