NUR 426 Leadership and Management in Nursing
This course is designed for the Associate Degree Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. This course will emphasize the skills necessary for an integrated leadership and management role within complex healthcare systems. The course covers leading in legal and ethical healthcare issues, nursing care management, delegation decisions, informatics, disaster preparedness, patient safety, and quality of patient outcomes. Clinical hours will provide an immersive experience with a nurse leader (45 clinical hours/semester).
