NUR 494 Successful Integration into BSN Practice
This course is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The course has two main goals – to provide the LPN to BSN student with clinical experience in their area of interest, and to maximize success on the NCLEX-RN, the national licensing examination, required for entry into professional nursing practice. The clinical portion provides students with opportunities to synthesize knowledge and application of clinical judgement in patient-centered professional nursing care. The NCLEX prep portion of the course is learner centered. Responsibility for learning rests with the learner with faculty acting as a guide. All assignments are designed to help the student to prepare for the Exit Exam and NCLEX. Successful completion of the course requires evidence of proficiency on the Exit Exam. Fee: $500.00.
