NUR 313 Pharmacology for LPN to BSN

This course is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. It is designed to equip the Licensed Practical Nurse with advanced knowledge and skills to safely administer medications as a Registered Nurse within diverse patient settings and includes a focus on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug interactions, client safety, and education. Nursing implications relative to drug effects are examined. This course provides the student with advanced knowledge to expand critical thinking skills in assessing client responses to drugs.
