NUR 463 Complex Illness LPN to BSN
This course is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The course evaluates knowledge and skills from Adult Health/Pathophysiology and introduces the student to advanced adult health nursing concepts. Critical thinking and decision-making using the nursing process continues to be emphasized. The student synthesizes competencies and knowledge of clinical data, pharmacologic concepts, and assessment findings Cumberland University Curriculum Change Proposal (2022-2023) p. 15 required to holistically care for clients with complex medical alterations. The clinical component of the course provides the student with the opportunity to care for multiple adult clients with higher levels of acuity and complex health needs based upon sound clinical decision-making and competencies. Fees: $760.00 testing fee and $125.00 lab fee.
