COM 340 Photojournalism
This course is designed to teach how photographs can be a version of media storytelling. This course will emphasize photography as a means of creating stories that reflect life and culture and assist students in gaining a better understanding of the art of storytelling. Students will engage in the medium of photography, critically analyze examples of photojournalism, and learn about the theories and historical significance of photography. This class combines the application of photography techniques in photographic assignments, fieldwork, and an examination of the history and theory of photography and storytelling.
