RN to BSN
Mission Statement
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is to educate and prepare nurse generalists who will promote and provide healthcare and wellness services to individuals, families, and communities across the life span, through curriculum emphasizing knowledge and experiences that promote critical thinking, integrity, and life-long learning.
Cumberland University's RN-BSN program is designed for the working nurse. Nurses with an Associate's Degree or Diploma in nursing, meeting the admissions requirements, will have the opportunity to continue working their current work schedule while finishing their BSN Degree. The RN-BSN program will prepare the RN with an education focused on: a) the future of the nursing profession, b) addressing current trends in healthcare, and c) providing a foundation for graduate education. There are no traditional hospital clinicals for this program. Students will, however, complete course projects using their work environments and communities.
