Media Communications
Mission Statement
The mission of the Media Communications program is to cultivate a broad-based understanding of the process of communication by providing both a theoretical and experiential education that prepares students to think critically about human communication in its many forms and to create and deliver message content across multiple media modalities in such a way as to better themselves and to have a positive impact within their spheres of influence.

FSL 101 is required for new and transferring freshmen with less than 24 hours. Students must earn a "C" or higher in FSL 101 or HON 101.

Students must earn a "C" or higher in ENG 101 and ENG 102 or HON 110.

Students must earn a "C" or higher in all Media Communication courses.
Media Communications Electives - 15 hours
Students must earn a "C" or higher in all media communications electives.
General Electives
Select sufficient courses from any academic discipline to bring the total hours for graduation to a minimum of 120.
Area II - Literature in English - 3 hours
Choose any 200-level
literature course from the
Catalog.
