Creative and Professional Writing

Mission Statement

The mission of the Creative & Professional Writing program is to provide learning space and a workshop environment for students to experiment, practice, develop, market, and publish their original work in multiple genres. Our program allows students to develop knowledge and hands-on experience in multiple sectors of contemporary writing. This includes the creation of new literature as well as other forms of contemporary writing within multiple media platforms, career writing, and content creation.

Students seeking teacher licensure in Tennessee cannot choose this degree.
